Forums
IWCP members are encouraged to play an active role in the club and make their interests known formally when they apply for membership or informally during one of the many social gatherings and/or events.
They can actively participate in one or more of the following activities:
- Charity and Fund Raising
- Organizing food related events such as breakfasts, lunches, or dinners
IWCP members regularly gather to share breakfast, lunch or dinners at the houses of other members. Irene Boden who serves on the board organizes these events and asks members to serve as hostesses. IWCP breakfasts feature certain ethnic groups or nationalities where members can communicate in their native language. Members can choose from
The French Bistro
Italian Conversations
Spanish Breakfast, or
German Coffee
For these the hostess provides the food that often reflects specialties from the particular country.
Lunches and Dinners are Potluck style which means the hostess offers her house for the event and each guest will bring a dish and/or
beverages. Often the hostess will manage who should bring what to ensure a balance of hors d'oeuvres, main dishes and deserts.
