A message from IWCP's  Director of Charity:

The International Women’s Club of Philadelphia (IWCP) has been successful at increasing educational awareness and opportunities for women as well as supporting the work of not-for-profit organizations serving women and families. The IWCP employs online membership donations, Christmas raffle, and related events to support the following organizations:

MUSICOPIA:  is a Philadelphia based organization whose “mission is to provide opportunities for children to experience, learn, perform and appreciate music”.  Musicopia’s programs focus on “reaching students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and live in struggling neighborhoods that are cut off from the region’s rich cultural life”.  Please click here to learn how much our donations are needed and appreciated

SUNDAY SUPPERS: is an innovative community-based program for low income families with young children that demonstrably improves the health and well-being of families. Their goals are for families to incorporate shared healthy meals into their lifestyles, communicate more effectively, embrace healthy eating and reduce physical symptoms including obesity.

MOTHER’S HOME:  is a residential shelter providing a safe place to live for up to 28 homeless women during their pregnancy and the first six months after their babies are born.  The main goal here is to assist them in becoming self-sufficient through the provision of services and programs related to personal and professional development, parenting and skill development and health education.

Chester Eastside, Inc. (CEI): Located in Chester County, its mission is to create an inclusive community that enables individuals of all ages
to achieve multiple goals and aspirations. This is a multi-faceted organization that provides
emergency and food services, after-school and education programs and community
engagement programs including job skills and parenting skills training for women.

We encourage you to make a donation at the time of your membership renewal or any other convenient time. To do  so, you can donate online or contact Laura Hernandez-Paine, IWCP Director of Charity at (610) 733-4758 or by email at lhernandezpaine@hotmail.com .

It is the desire of the International Women’s Club of Philadelphia (IWCP) to welcome women of all cultures to the Philadelphia area and to encourage friendship, cooperation and understanding. It is our goal to help them adjust to a new culture and to meet other women of similar backgrounds and interests.
